Headlands Beach State Park

120-acre lakefront park boasts a mile long natural sand beach – Ohio’s longest. Features guarded swimming beach, restrooms, changing rooms, outdoor showers, 1 1/2 mile paved hiking trail, fishing, playground and large shaded picnic area with grills.  To reserve a picnic shelter call (216) 881-8141. Lake Erie Bluffs

This wooded parcel along the shore of Lake Erie in Perry Township provides public access to a beautiful stretch of natural beach. Lake Erie Bluffs hugs the lakehshore offering visitors a bird’s-eye view from a scenic overlook. Gravel hiking trails. Access to natural beach. Features a 50-foot-tall observation tower and three-season reservable shelter with lake views.
Lake Metroparks Fairport Harbor Lakefront Park

This 21-acre lakefront park features a beach with a gradual slope and sandy bottom. Recreational opportunities on the waterfront including kayaking, canoeing, sailing, boating, camps and special beach programs/festivals. The park features a handicap-accessible harbor view deck, dog swim area, restrooms, showers, changing rooms, concessions, amphitheater, volleyball courts, playground and picnic area with grills. Food concessions open daily, weather permitting, from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. A $2 parking fee applies to Lake County residents, $3 for out-of-county-visitors.

Fairport Harbor Marine Museum & Lighthouse

This national historic place consists of a marine museum and lighthouse tower that is open to the public and provides spectacular views of Lake Erie. The marine museum houses its original 3rd order Fresnel lens, the Frontenac pilothouse, nautical artifacts, and more. Open 1 to 6 p.m. on Wed., Sat., Sun. and holidays from the Saturday before Memorial Day through the 3rd weekend in September.
